Forged steel rolls

Forged steel rolls through smelting, forging, heat treatment, so that the working layer of the roll body has a uniform and consistent high hardness, high wear resistance and excellent resistance to accidents, and at the same time to ensure that the roll neck and the core of the roll body has a certain degree of strength and high toughness. Forged steel rolls have this unique performance, making it in cold rolling and non-ferrous rolling, with casting rolls irreplaceable advantages. According to the conditions of use, forged steel rolls can be divided into forged steel hot rolls and forged steel cold rolls, forged steel hot rolls are mainly used for hot rolling of open billet and section steel roughing rolls, forged steel cold rolls are widely used in cold rolling rolls. Forged steel cold rolls use high requirements, the roll surface must have a high and uniform hardness, in order to ensure the cold rolled strip or steel plate dimensional accuracy and good surface quality, the roll body has a certain depth of the hardened layer, with a high resistance to accidents, for this reason, the original organization of the rolls is very strict, a pure metallurgical quality, and secondly, the organization of the uniformity. China’s current main use of cold roll materials containing about 2% of chromium, HS90 above the working layer in 10mm or so, and the newly developed Cr5 series of cold rolls containing 5% of chromium, HS90 above the working layer in 30mm or more, Cr 5 series of cold work rolls in all aspects of the excellent performance embodied in the work rolls, is bound to gradually replace the traditional use of the Cr 2 series of cold rolls, cold rolls to become the development of the work rolls direction.
